Welcome to the YMCA
Guildford YMCA has a long history in the town, and for 20 years has provided safe housing for young people in the Bridge Street hostel along with bed and breakfast accommodation, conferencing and restaurant facilites. Youth work projects based at Plantation in Market Street have further developed the 'YMCA effect' on local young people.
Here is a message from Pete Brayne, Guildford YMCA CEO

What's New at Guildford YMCA?
Our December news update focusses on the Sleep£asy Campaign. Plans are well underway for the chilly sleepout at the end of next January. Could you rise to the challenge?
For those that took part last January it was a long night - and next day the heavy snow fell bringing the country to a virtual halt! But a bacon bap in the early hours made all the difference. And every person involved felt a well deserved sense of achievement as well as raising vital funds for our projects. Staying at the YMCA
Did
you know that there are 120 bedrooms at our Bridge Street hostel?
And although 'YMCA' stands for Young Men's Christian Association
you don't have to be young, male or even have a faith to stay there!
Within minutes of the railway and bus stations, and Guildford town centre, where better to stay?
