For those looking for accommodation during the summer of 2012 the Y Centre offers excellent 'value for money' bed and breakfast accommodation in central Guildford, across the road from the mainline railway station. The Olympic Torch Relay will pass through Guildford on Friday 20 July.
The London 2012 Olympic Games will take place between 27 July and 12 August.
The Cycling Road Races will take place on 28 and 29 July, starting and ending in London but passing through Guildford.
The Paralympic Games will follow, from 29 August until 9 September.

Guildford mainline station is just 38 minutes from Waterloo.
Waterloo - Stratford takes 45 minutes by train (with just one further change)
Waterloo - Wembley takes 41 minutes by train (with just one further change)
Guildford - Wimbledon takes 42-47 minutes by train (with just one change)
Guildford - Eton Dorney takes about 50 minutes by car to Park & Ride sites. NB Park & Ride must be booked well in advance.
