What is there to see and do around Guildford?

In easy walking distance of Guildford YMCA:
Tucked behind Guildford's historic High Street, the Castle is set in beautiful gardens that are filled with stunning summer colour. The Castle itself has been restored in recent years and is open to the public at certain times.
Guildford Museum contains a wealth of information about Guildford's varied history, with exhibitions of local interest held throughout the year.
Guildford Cathedral is about a twenty minute walk from Guildford YMCA. This modern, light and airy cathedral is well worth a visit, and the adjacent Refectory is open for refreshments.
A visit to the theatre is always enjoyable, and there's plenty on offer at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, ten minutes' walk along the river from the YMCA.
The Electric Theatre is just across the river from the YMCA. Offering a stage for local amateur groups and productions, there is a varied programme on offer.
Originally a courtroom and council chamber this is of historic interest. Guildford's landmark bracket clock looks down the High Street from here.
Guildford House Gallery, towards to very top of the HIgh Street, hosts a wide variety of temporary exhibitions and events.
Opened in late 2011 this is Guildford's premier live entertainment venue
A market runs in North Street every Friday and Saturday featuring an interesting variety of stalls.
The High Street is taken over by South West Surrey's farmers on the first Tuesday of every month - a great opportunity to pick up local farm fresh produce.
