How do I get started?

Aged 24+?

 Individuals interested in volunteering are asked to complete an enquiry form available at any Guildford YMCA location or download an enquiry form here. The completed form should be sent to Vivien Stovell , HR Co-ordinator, Guildford YMCA , Bridge Street , Guildford , GU1 4SB . To ensure the volunteer experience is a rewarding one for everyone, applicants will be contacted for an interview to discuss skills, experience, time commitment and training required.

All YMCA staff and volunteers are asked to be vetted by the Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) and to supply two personal references.

Aged 16 – 24?

Young people aged between 16 and 24 can join the YMCA’s v Project. This is a national award scheme that gives young volunteers a chance to get involved with a number of short term community projects as well as regular placements at both the YMCA and other organisations in West Surrey .
